Monty Cotton has become a feature act on the rodeo, muster and country festival circuit, performing at events across Western Australia and around the country.

With Monty Cotton & The Threads, Monty is joined by fiddle, upright double bass and a variety of traditional and contemporary instruments including banjo, mandolin, guitar, didgeridoo, loops and stomp box.

The band puts its own spin on popular songs, blending country, bluegrass, rock and roll and contemporary pop and rock into a high-energy live show. About Monty

Originally from Sydney, Monty moved to Western Australia some years ago and began building his music career alongside his corporate career.

With a singing voice uncannily like the legendary Johnny Cash and a love of his music, Monty created A Boy Named Cash, his greatest-hits tribute to the Man in Black.

Since then, Monty has performed across Australia and the UK at arts festivals, rodeos, musters, corporate events, weddings, mine sites, cruise ships, pubs and clubs, as well as on breakfast radio and morning television. He has also appeared on The Voice Australia and performed sold-out shows at Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe and Perth FRINGE WORLD.

Beyond Johnny Cash, Monty performs a broad range of country, rock and roll, Australian classics and contemporary music. His energetic, audience-engaging style and ability to adapt the show to different crowds have made him a popular choice for rodeos, musters, festivals and events across Australia.
